www.fattoalatina.it reports:
Aurelio Lo Fazio, the mayor of Anzio, is a careful and rigorous man. He has repeatedly intervened to remove the anti-Semitic graffiti that has appeared on the city’s walls in the name of his city’s democratic tradition, but now, for weeks, the graffiti, which have reappeared, has not been removed. These graffiti speak of hatred and death, reviving a dangerous anti-Semitism that we thought no longer belonged to our culture. We believe that the removal of the graffiti can no longer be postponed, and it is a crucial, not a marginal, issue between civilization and barbarism. Confident of a swift removal, we reiterate our call to Anzio’s great libertarian tradition, which these graffiti offend.
