On Monday, the French National Assembly adopted a resolution aimed at classifying the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization at the European level. The proposal, presented by MPs from the Groupe Droite Républicaine, passed with 157 votes in favor and 101 against.
While the resolution does not have direct legislative effect, it expresses the Assembly’s formal position and calls on the European Union to add the Muslim Brotherhood to its official list of terrorist organizations.
