Israeli officials say dozens of terrorist cells are currently seeking to carry out attacks against Israeli and Jewish targets worldwide. According to reports broadcast Thursday morning by Israeli public radio station Kan Reshet Bet , these networks operate in Europe, Africa, and other parts of the world.
According to these sources, some cells are operating under Iranian direction, while others are linked to terrorist organizations such as Hamas. This alert comes the day after an announcement by Mossad concerning the dismantling of terrorist infrastructure in Europe .
The Israeli intelligence agency stated that, thanks to close cooperation with European security and police services, several planned attacks have recently been thwarted. Authorities in countries such as Germany and Austria have conducted a series of complex counterterrorism operations, resulting in the arrest of terrorists and the discovery of arms caches intended for use against Israeli or Jewish targets.
Israel regularly warns of the intensification of attempted attacks orchestrated abroad, believing that its adversaries are seeking to expand their areas of operation beyond the Middle East. European security services, for their part, are concerned about the growing internationalization of terrorist networks linked to Hamas and other pro-Iranian actors, particularly since the events of October 7, 2023.
Israeli authorities stress that international cooperation is essential to counter these threats, as the cells often operate transnationally, with logistical infrastructures spread across several countries.
