Israeli activist and author Noa Tishby posted a video on Instagram, displaying a scene where she was attacked at a pro-Hamas rally in Paris on Monday.
Shortly after Tishby’s video begins, a protester appears to snatch and throw the phone of Tishby’s companion, leading the Israeli to say that they are being attacked.
Other interactions shown in the video appear to show protesters claiming that Israel is an “apartheid, genocidal state,” and that Fatah convicted terrorist Marwan Barghouti never committed any violent acts.
“F*** Zionist, and F*** Israel,” one protester said.
“Hamas is very popular and is fighting for freedom,” another said.
Another activist also appeared to tell Tishby that she personally has blood on her hands.
Tishby then commented that protesters were chasing her and her companion.
Activists were flying various flags in the background, mostly Palestinian, but Tishby’s video footage also appeared to show the antifa flags, as well as the flag of New Caledonia’s independence movement. The Pacific island is currently a French territory.
The activists did this “all without knowing even the basic facts. This is what unchecked propaganda looks like,” Tishby commented.
Tishby is an actress, producer, and two-time New York Times bestselling author, who served as Israel’s first-ever special envoy for combating antisemitism and the delegitimization of Israel until 2023.
