A man was physically assaulted and subjected to antisemitic slurs in the Paris metro on Wednesday, January 14. The incident occurred on line 7 at the Gare de l’Est station in the 10th arrondissement.
The victim, who is Jewish, was reportedly slapped and punched multiple times by an unidentified man who also called him a “dirty Jew” before fleeing the scene. The victim was not wearing any religious symbols and had no prior connection to the attacker.
Authorities are currently searching for the suspect, who was last seen at the “Maisons-Alfort – Stade” station on line 8. Surveillance footage shows him heading toward Avenue du Général Leclerc in Seine-et-Marne.
